This release continues our investment in the Vendor Management module with expanded Vendor Contact form participation, and delivers a top customer request in Training Management: the ability to invalidate previous completions when remedial training is assigned.
What's New In 26.10:
- Vendor Management — Vendor Contacts can now start new Audit & Inspection, Incident Event, Quality Event, and Work Observation forms through the Vendor Portal.
- Training One-Off Assignment — New site settings let one-off assignments invalidate previous completions and force re-taking the course.
- AI Connector (MCP) — Added support for fetching and analyzing documents and photos.
Vendor Management: Vendors Can Start New Forms
Overview
Vendor Contacts can now start new forms directly from the Vendor Portal. Supported form types include:
-
-
- Audit & Inspection
- Incident Event
- Quality Event
- Work Observation
- Custom Forms
Benefit
- Gives organizations a simple, authenticated path for Vendor Contacts to submit forms
- Vendor Contacts are named on each submission they create
- Ties every submission back to a specific individual, improving accountability
- Creates a smoother reporting experience for the vendors you work with every day
Training One-Off Assignment: Invalidate Previous Completions
Overview
New site settings added for Training One-Off Assignment. Settings allow a one-off assignment to:
-
-
- Invalidate a person's previous completion of the course
- Force the assignee to re-take the course before being considered qualified again
Benefit
- Lets customers invalidate a training completion when a person needs to be retrained
- Updates the person's qualification status to reflect that they are not currently qualified
- Gives supervisors clear, immediate visibility into who is not qualified to perform the work
Use Case
A forklift operator is involved in an incident that causes property damage. The investigation determines the operator needs to be retrained before operating equipment again.
-
-
- The safety manager assigns retraining through a One-Off Training Assignment
- This invalidates the operator's prior Forklift Operation completion
- The requirement now shows as Invalidated until the course is retaken, removing any ambiguity about who's cleared to work
AI Connector (MCP): Analyze Documents and Photos
Overview
AI Connector (MCP) now supports fetching and analyzing attachments on EHS Insight records.
-
- Works with photos and documents alike
- Lets AI assistants read, summarize, and describe attachment content on demand
Benefit
- Users can ask Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to analyze attachments on any record they have access to, including:
- Safety documents
- Inspection photos
- SOPs
- No need to leave the AI chat or manually download/upload files
Use Case
A safety manager asks Claude to analyze attachments on an open CAPA form.
- Photo (JPG): Claude describes what the photos contain
- Inspection report (PDF): Claude summarizes the key findings
- SOP document (DOCX): Claude extracts and summarizes the text content
Wrapping Up
26.10 brings meaningful improvements to how vendors, training, and AI assistants fit into your daily workflows. Vendor Contacts get more direct, accountable ways to submit forms, safety and training teams get a clear mechanism to enforce retraining when it matters most, and anyone using AI assistants can now tap directly into the documents and photos already living in EHS Insight. Together, these updates are about reducing friction and increasing visibility, so your teams can spend less time chasing information and more time acting on it.
