Audiogram Template for Workplace Safety Teams

If you’re required to have a hearing conservation program, then you know the struggle of managing audiograms. You may find yourself asking or trying to answer questions like:

When do baseline audiograms have to be completed? Are there any exceptions? What needs to happen after an employee has a shift in hearing? Are there any time limits or employee notifications that have to be managed? When does a shift in hearing become a recordable injury?

Looking in the federal standards for guidance and to answer questions can be a struggle because the hearing conservation standards aren’t concise and they include a lot of jargon that can be confusing.

And, because audiograms are typically scheduled on an annual basis, managing the results is somewhat of a “non-routine” task. With all the other things you have to manage, it’s easy to forget what the requirements are and what steps need to be taken to ensure your employees and your company’s compliance are taken care of.

Audiogram Template: More Efficient, Effective Audiogram Management

Using a compliance resource like the Audiogram Management template won’t make anyone an expert in hearing conservation programs but it will make managing audiograms a bit easier.

Whether you’re the person who has to manage this process or you have to explain this process for someone else to manage, having a simplified version of the standard written in an easy to follow, step by step, one page document saves time and frustration.

Want to make sure it’s always accessible? Upload it into the Document Library in EHS Insight so it’s available when you need it.

When employee audiograms are managed properly, it benefits everyone. Download the Audiogram Management spreadsheet template to manage your hearing conservation program more effectively.
