An Associate Consultant (AC) serves as an entry-level position for college students with the intent to transfer in to the role of a Business Analyst or Configuration Consultant.
Typically, students already know their preferred route and will be guided accordingly in their work tasks and projects.
A Business Analyst (BA) manages the overall project process by serving as the principle conduit through which requirements flow between the Client and technical resource.
BAs are responsible for meeting with customers to gather, document, and validate requirements, working collaboratively with project teams, and ensuring the Client is kept full informed of project progress.
A Configuration Consultant (CC) serves as a technical resource responsible for providing the Client a solution on our platform by working closely with the Client and project team.
CCs are responsible for adapting customer requirements into technical configurations using XML and SQL. Development tools, such as Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio, are utilized daily for implementations.
StarTex Software offers paid internships to Junior and Senior-level students for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Internships may lead to full-time opportunities.
Internships are occasionally offered for Business Analyst Intern, Configuration Consultant Intern, HR Development Intern, and Marketing Intern.
Our QA testers work integrated within our Agile development team. Each new product feature is designed up front with a test plan and acceptance criteria. Our testers use a combination of automated and manual testing strategies and work closely with developers to help test and document new product features. Technical product testers must already be familiar with (or able to learn) SQL and XML. Product testers must be great at analyzing and planning how best to test highly configurable product features.
Our support team works closely with our delivery teams to transition customers from active projects to ongoing support. Each customer configuration is unique and requires skill, knowledge, and intuition to support effectively.
