Keeping your title as an ISO certified company means continuing your tradition of excellence, especially when it comes to your environmental stewardship.

As a result, you’re expected to conduct lengthy inspections and audits and document your observations and solutions to issues. And when you’ve finished, you have the pleasure of starting all over again.

For some, the process happens like clockwork. Participants in the audits and inspections may view the practice as forms that need to be filled in, then shared and filed. They may become complacent, having done so many of them they might start overlooking details that could have a larger impact on the outcome.

However, safety is never routine, especially when it comes to conducting audits and inspections that are designed to fill safety gaps.

When you view these activities as routine, you stand to lose more than you gain. Audits and inspections are time investments, which also means you’re paying for them in employee time.
