EHS Insight v26.13: Introducing Audit Programs

Discover how EHS Insight's new Audit Programs feature streamlines audits and inspections into a centralized dashboard for improved performance tracking and compliance management.

Release 26.13 introduces Audit Programs, a new way to bring related audits and inspections together in one centralized view. Instead of piecing together separate reports, program owners can now monitor status, spot gaps, and manage recurring audits from a single dashboard.

Audit Programs: Your Whole Program, One View

EHS Insight's Audits & Inspections module now supports Audit Programs. Administrators can configure a defined group of Question Sets as a program, then view it through a dashboard showing the latest audit results and findings for a selected Business Entity, plus schedule status when the Compliance Tasks Module is enabled. From that same view, you can start the next audit or scheduled Compliance Task directly.

Overview: Audit Programs provides a centralized dashboard for grouping related Audit & Inspection Question Sets and viewing their latest results, findings, and schedule status by Business Entity.

Benefit: Less time navigating between separate reports and tasks. From one place, you can monitor program status, identify gaps, review previous activity, and start the next audit or Compliance Task.

What Is an Audit Program?

An audit program is a coordinated set of audits and inspections performed on a recurring schedule. Together, they support a broader compliance, environmental, safety, or management system objective.

Why Audit Programs?

Individual Audit & Inspection forms show what happened during a single audit. They don't give you a clear view of the broader program.

Before Audit Programs, answering basic program questions meant piecing together multiple reports:

    • Which audits have been completed?
    • Where do findings exist?
    • Are the required audits scheduled?
    • How does activity compare across locations?

Audit Programs bring that information together, so program owners can review the full set of related audits in one place.

How Do Programs Work in EHS Insight?

An Audit Program is a named collection of Audit & Inspection Question Sets that define which audits belong together. It adds an organizational layer above individual audit records, giving teams a program-level view of performance and compliance by Business Entity.

Importantly, nothing changes about how each audit is performed or recorded. Your existing workflows stay the same.

Program examples

    • OSHA / Safety Program: Groups recurring safety audits and inspections, such as machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), emergency exits, and fall protection, to support OSHA-related requirements.
    • Environmental Program: Groups recurring environmental audits and inspections, such as hazardous waste, stormwater, spill prevention, and permit compliance, to support regulatory requirements.
    • Management System Program: Groups recurring management system audits, such as internal ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 audits, to support certification and ongoing conformance.

Wrapping Up

Release 26.13 is all about seeing the bigger picture. Audit Programs give program owners a single place to track how their audits are performing, where gaps exist, and what's coming up next, without changing how audits are done. Whether you manage a safety, environmental, or management system program, you now have one clear view of where things stand.

As always, thank you for your feedback. It shapes every release. Reach out to your account team or our support team with any questions.
