EHS Insight Q1-2026 Wrap-Up: Smarter Systems, Stronger Connections

Discover key EHS Insight updates from Q1 2026, enhancing training, compliance, AI capabilities, and data integration for streamlined safety management.

As we kicked off 2026, our focus remained clear: help EHS teams reduce manual work, connect critical systems, and turn data into action faster.

Across the 25.13, 26.1, and 26.2 releases, we introduced updates that strengthen how organizations manage training, contractor safety, compliance, AI-driven insights, and workforce data—all while making the platform more intuitive to use day to day.

Here’s a look at the key themes from Q1.

Smarter Training & Stronger Workforce Readiness

Training is one of the most critical—and most challenging—areas to manage at scale, especially across employees and contractors.

This quarter, we expanded how organizations assign, deliver, and track training across their entire workforce:

  • New OpenSesame integration provides access to 50,000+ courses directly within EHS Insight
  • Assign training to vendor workers through the Vendor Portal, including SCORM and video-based training

Impact: Faster program rollout, easier access to training content, and improved compliance across your workforce.

Connected Vendor & Contractor Management

Managing contractors remains one of the most complex—and highest risk—areas in EHS.

In Q1, we continued building a more connected vendor ecosystem that brings together training, compliance, and worker data in one place:

  • Track vendor workers, including training history and compliance status
  • Assign training directly to vendor workers, including SCORM and video content
  • Automated 30/60/90-day training expiration reminders for vendor admins and workers
  • Expanded internal and external Vendor Portal capabilities for managing documents, training, and worker records

Impact: Greater visibility into contractor readiness, reduced compliance risk, and more consistent oversight across sites.

Simplifying Compliance & Connecting Requirements to Action

Keeping up with regulatory requirements is complex—especially when information lives outside your workflows.

This quarter, we strengthened how compliance is managed by embedding regulatory intelligence directly into the platform and connecting it to execution:

  • New Enhesa integration brings regulatory checklists and obligations into your workflows
  • STP integration enhancements connect regulatory requirements directly to audit and inspection question sets
  • Document Control enhancements support acknowledgment tracking (one-time and ongoing) tied directly to documents
  • Smarter compliance task scheduling for more consistent tracking and reporting

Impact: Reduced manual research, stronger audit readiness, and a more connected compliance workflow from requirement to action.

AI That Works Inside Your Workflow

AI in EHS should do more than analyze data—it should improve how work gets done in real time.

In Q1, we expanded AI capabilities across multiple parts of the platform:

  • AI SDS Copilot extracts and structures chemical data automatically
  • AI CAPA recommendations and opportunity analysis help identify and initiate corrective actions faster
  • Expanded AI Field Suggestions improve data quality for root causes and lessons learned
  • Continued improvements to AI Copilot for identifying gaps and strengthening reporting

Impact: Higher-quality data, faster insights, and less manual effort across everyday workflows.

Better Data Integration & System Alignment

Disconnected systems slow teams down and introduce risk.

That’s why Q1 included meaningful improvements to how EHS Insight connects with core business systems:

  • New Workday integration to automatically sync Users and Contacts
  • Reduced reliance on manual imports and custom data management
  • Improved accuracy and consistency across workforce data

Impact: Cleaner data, less administrative overhead, and more reliable reporting across the platform.

More Flexible Workflows & Everyday Usability

Beyond major features, Q1 also introduced enhancements that make day-to-day work easier and more efficient:

  • Route tasks dynamically based on selected users within forms
  • New redaction tool allows for concealing sensitive elements in uploaded images
  • Added support for scheduling Sustainability-related forms such as work hours and emissions tracking

Impact: Faster workflows, improved consistency, and a better experience for both administrators and frontline users.

The Bigger Picture

The Q1 releases reflect a clear direction:

  • Connected systems instead of siloed tools
  • Embedded intelligence instead of manual analysis
  • Flexible workflows instead of rigid processes

Because high-performing EHS teams don’t just collect data—they act on it.

And the easier it is to capture, connect, and understand that data, the faster organizations can improve safety, compliance, and performance.
