EHS Insight 26.15 makes training records easier to prove and helps people capture better data the first time. Organizations that report to MSHA can now produce the official 5000-23 Certificate of Training straight from their training records. Trainers and trainees can sign records right in the form. And AI Field Suggestions can now look at the photos you attach, not just the words you type.
Here are the highlights:
- MSHA 5000-23 Certificate of Training — generate proof of training in the official MSHA format from Training Record forms, using data already in EHS Insight.
- Trainer and Trainee Signatures — capture both signatures on the Training Record, and set Certificate Defaults per Training Requirement.
- Vision AI for AI Field Suggestions — review attached photos to suggest better descriptions, or flag photos the description mentions but doesn't include.
We've also expanded AI Field Suggestions to CAPAs and added photo capture to the Windows app. Read on for the details.
MSHA 5000-23 Certificate of Training
Overview: Training Management now generates the MSHA 5000-23 Certificate of Training directly from the Training Record form.
Benefits:
- The 5000-23 is the form MSHA accepts as proof that training was completed. Organizations that report to MSHA can now produce these certificates in the official format without retyping anything, since the data is already captured in EHS Insight.
- MSHA courses are managed in Training Management just like any other training, so there's no separate process to maintain.
Training Record: Participant Signatures
Overview: The Training Record can now capture Trainer and Trainee Signatures at the moment training is recorded. Users can also set Certificate Defaults per Training Requirement.
Benefits:
- A signed record of every session. Users will know who delivered each training and who received it, documented on the record itself.
- Signatures on your certificates. Trainer and trainee signatures print on the standard EHS Insight training certificate and on the new MSHA 5000-23 certificate.
- The right certificate every time. Certificate Defaults let each requirement produce the right certificate without extra setup.
AI Field Suggestions: Now with Vision AI
Overview: AI Field Suggestions can now review the photos attached to a record, not just the text. Using Vision AI, it recommends updates to text fields based on photos and identifies opportunities to attach photos the text mentions.
Benefits:
- From photo to text. When a photo shows details the description doesn't mention, suggestions point them out so the description can cover them.
- From text to photo. When the description names something no photo shows, suggestions prompt for that photo at the time of submission.
- Coaching in the moment. People learn what else the description could cover and what else is worth photographing while they're still in the form, producing a better record from the start instead of a follow-up later.
AI Field Suggestions on CAPA Fields
Overview: AI Field Suggestions now covers three CAPA fields: Findings, Action Description and Attachments.
Benefit: Bringing suggestions to more of the CAPA workflow means more users get coaching as they work, which improves data quality at the point of entry.
Windows App: Take Photo Support
Overview: The native Windows app now lets users take photos directly in the app when adding attachments.
Benefit: This brings the Windows app in line with what's already available on iOS and Android. Teams using Windows tablets in the field can now add photos to the form they're filling out without leaving the app.
Wrapping Up
Release 26.15 is about proof and quality. MSHA 5000-23 certificates and participant signatures give you training records that stand up on their own, generated from data you already have. Vision AI and expanded CAPA suggestions help people capture complete, accurate information while they're still in the form. And Windows tablet users now get the same photo capture as iOS and Android.
Together, these updates mean less chasing details after the fact and more confidence in the records you rely on.
